1. About this project
Jeopardy.CC is a personal hobby / entertainment project provided as-is for private use. This notice explains what data the service stores so the quiz can work.
2. What we store
Account
When you register we store:
- Username
- Email address (for verification)
- Password (hashed; never stored in plain text)
Login session
We use a technical session cookie (e.g. connect.sid) to keep you logged in
and to run the game. It is needed for the service to function.
During a game
While a game is active, temporary session data may include player names, scores, answered questions, and similar game state. That data is used only to run the match.
3. Cookies
Only essential cookies for authentication and gameplay are used. There is no advertising or third-party tracking cookie setup on this site.
4. Security
Passwords are hashed (bcrypt). Reasonable technical measures are used to protect accounts, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
5. Your choices
You can stop using the service at any time. If you need an account removed, contact the project through the channel you already use for support.
6. Changes
This notice may be updated when the project changes. The version on this page is the current one.
